Bob and Emma have both lived in New Orleans since the early 2000s. They both moved away—and returned, because there isn’t another city, culture and community quite like it.
We’re grateful to call it home.

Visiting New Orleans
Walk the Mississippi River in the French Quarter (Bob proposed there!)
Ride the streetcar to Audubon Park and admire the mansions and Oak trees
Get a Po Boy (Guy’s, Parasol’s, Johnny’s, Frady’s, or too many other spots)
Drink a Frozen Irish Coffee at Molly’s by the Market (and throw a five in the jukebox)
See Music at Preservation Hall (shows every night, buy in advance)
The French Quarter
Jackson Square, Beignets, Bourbon Street, live music. Bob lived here when we started dating
Coffee/Breakfast: Croissant D’or, French Truck Coffee, Patula
Restaurants: Brennans, Fives, Sylvain
Bars: MRBs, Will & the Way, Bar Tonique
Must-dos: Stroll Royal St and stop in at MS Rau and the Carosel Bar, Walk Bourbon to Pat O Brien’s Dueling Piano Bar, and Listen to the music on on Frenchman St.
The Bywater (and Marigny)
Where we live! Known for the corner bars and coffee, and a stroll on the river in Crescent Park for city views!

Mid City
The home of NOLA’s biggest park and Jazz Fest. Take the red streetcar from Canal St. Stroll Bayou St. John.

The (Lower) Garden District
Just uptown of the CBD. We watch the parades on St. Charles. Stroll and check out at the architecture.
